Osteopathy in Burgas: what it is and when it helps
Osteopathy asks not only where it hurts, but why. It works by hand — with joints, muscles and fascia — to give the body back movement it has lost.

How it differs from massage
Massage relaxes a tight muscle. An osteopath asks why the muscle is tight: a stiff joint, uneven posture, an old sprain, the way you sit or lift your child. Then they work with the body as a whole — sometimes lower back pain eases with work on the pelvis or the foot.
The techniques are manual: joint mobilisation, soft tissue techniques, fascial work. Most are slow and gentle — many people are surprised how little “pressure” there is.
Common reasons for a visit
Lower and upper back pain
Especially when it keeps coming back despite massages.
Neck stiffness and tension headaches
A stiff neck, pain spreading from the back of the head, after hours at a computer.
Shoulder, knee, ankle
Restricted movement after strain or an old injury, once a doctor has ruled out serious damage.
Posture and asymmetry
One shoulder higher, a feeling of being “twisted”, pain when standing for long.
Osteopathy does not replace a doctor. With severe pain after a fall or blow, numbness or weakness in a limb, fever, or night pain that does not change with position — see a doctor first.

How many sessions are likely needed and what to do in between.
What it costs

About osteopathy
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the problem. People often feel the first changes after 1–3 sessions; chronic pain takes longer, with longer gaps between visits.
Does it hurt?
Most techniques are gentle. Some soreness for a day or two after the first session is possible — the body is adjusting to new movement.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you can move in — leggings or tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt.
Do I need a referral?
No. But if you have scans (X-ray, MRI) or a diagnosis, bring them.
