Sports massage in Burgas
For runners, footballers, gym regulars and anyone who can still feel yesterday’s session in their legs. Sports massage speeds up recovery and gets you back to the next session sooner.

Why massage after exercise
Sports massage improves circulation, tones the muscles and improves the elasticity of the tissue. In practice: less stiffness the next day and freer movement in the joints.
The technique is more dynamic than a relaxing massage — deep and brisk strokes, stretching, and work on the muscle groups you have loaded. The therapist will ask what you train and when your next session or race is.
Professional athletes and football and volleyball teams have recovered at Ability Spa Burgas — the therapists are used to hard-working bodies.
Before, after or between sessions
After a hard session
The most common choice. Helps the muscles relax and reduces stiffness.
Before a competition
Shorter and lighter — to prepare the muscles, not tire them. No deep pressure right before a start.
With regular training
Maintenance that stops tension from building up week after week.
After a break or injury
Only once a doctor has cleared you to train. Then massage helps the return to movement.
How it goes
Your training
Sport, volume, which muscles are loaded, any old injuries.
Warm-up
Brisk strokes that warm the tissue for deeper work.
Main part
Work on the loaded muscle groups, plus light stretching.
Advice
When to train again, and whether to repeat before your next big effort.

About sports massage
Do I need to be a professional athlete?
No. Sports massage is for anyone who trains regularly — gym, running, cycling, tennis, dance.
Can I have it straight after training?
You can, but it is better to wait a few hours or until the next day. Straight after hard exercise, muscles need rest, water and food first.
Sports or deep tissue massage?
Sports massage is for recovery after exercise. Deep tissue is for chronic tension that is not necessarily linked to training — see therapeutic massage.
